"Helping out is not some special skill. It is not the domain of rare individuals. It is not confined to a single part of our lives. We simply heed the call of that natural impulse within and follow it where it leads us." -- Ram Dass

Our offering

Prosperity happens when we -- as individuals, organizations, families, and companies -- do the thing that we are meant to do in this world. By communicating, Writing For Seva shines a light on those things and that prosperity. Sometimes Writing For Seva also engages in the pre-work to better identify where that light needs to be shone.

Every engagement will be different.

And Writing For Seva's communication can take several forms, such as:

The Interior Story, which brings clarity for leadership and staff about why they do what they do.

The Shareholder Story, which articulates why members, audiences, and stakeholders belong to the organization. Often the shareholders are already engaged, and this ongoing communication sustains their interest.

Public Facing Dialogue, which explores why an organization is embedded in a community, and how they can become better members of that community. This stage of communication is often outreach-oriented.

The common denominator in each of our offerings is WHY. We help to communicate WHY an individual or organization undertakes the work that they do.

Yogic Influences

I've been doing yoga for more than 20 years. But it's only been in the last three or four years that I've been practicing yoga.

Practicing is the difference.

Before, it was about the stretches and the athleticism, and training my mind to focus.

Now, it's about the ecosystem of yoga, the arms of yoga, the interior peace work that reverberates outward. It's about practicing the art of intention.

My gift in this life is communicating, especially through speaking and writing. It is my intention, through Writing For Seva, to help individuals and organizations prosper.

I have two goddess statues on my writing desk: Saraswati, the goddess of creative expression, and Laxmi, the goddess of prosperity. My work flows with the energy of them both.
